Preußisch Oldendorf [ˈprɔɪ̯sɪʃ ˈɔldn̩dɔʁf] ist eine Stadt im Nordosten von Nordrhein-Westfalen in der Region Ostwestfalen-Lippe. Mit rund 12.600 Einwohnern ist Preußisch Oldendorf die kleinste Kommune im ostwestfälischen Kreis Minden-Lübbecke im Regierungsbezirk Detmold. Oldendorf wurde erstmals im 10. Jahrhundert schriftlich erwähnt und 1719 zur Stadt erhoben. 1806 wurde dem Ortsnamen der Zusatz „Preußisch“ zwecks besserer Unterscheidung im Bahn- und Postverkehr hinzugefügt. Der heutige territoriale Zuschnitt der Stadt geht auf eine 1973 durchgeführte Gebietsreform zurück.
