Die Gamescom in Köln ist die weltweit größte Messe für Computer- und Videospiele, gemessen nach Ausstellungsfläche und Besucheranzahl. Zahlreiche Hersteller aus aller Welt präsentieren hier ihre neue Soft- und Hardware.
Träger ist seit 2018 der game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche, zuvor der Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware . Die Gamescom fand 2009 erstmals auf dem Gelände der Koelnmesse statt. Bis 2008 hatte der BIU die Games Convention in Leipzig mit ausgerichtet und dann den Wechsel nach Köln beschlossen.
