SMS Yorck war das zweite und letzte Schiff der Roon-Klasse der Kaiserlichen Marine. Der von Blohm & Voss in Hamburg gebaute Panzerkreuzer, offiziell als Großer Kreuzer geführt, gehörte von 1905 bis 1913 zum aktiven Schiffsbestand der deutschen Flotte. Zu Beginn des Ersten Weltkrieges reaktiviert, sank der Kreuzer am 4. November 1914 in der Jademündung nach zwei Minentreffern. Dabei kamen 336 Mann ums Leben.
