Das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie ist eine oberste Bundesbehörde der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Es hat seinen Hauptsitz bzw. ersten Dienstsitz in Berlin, seinen zweiten Dienstsitz in der Bundesstadt Bonn. Derzeitiger Behördenleiter ist der Bundesminister für Wirtschaft und Energie Peter Altmaier .
Die Behörde wurde 1949 als Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft gegründet. Mit der Ernennung des Kabinetts Merkel III wurde das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie kraft Organisationserlass per 17. Dezember 2013 in Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie umbenannt.
