Die Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei ist ein 10 Hektar großes Werksgelände am Rande des Leipziger Stadtteils Lindenau. Teile davon werden heute als Galerien und Ateliers sowie gastronomisch genutzt.
Die 1884 gegründete Firma Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei entwickelte sich binnen eines Vierteljahrhunderts zur größten Baumwollspinnerei Kontinentaleuropas. Nach ihrer Gründung wuchs im Westen von Leipzig eine regelrechte Fabrikstadt mit über 20 Produktionsgebäuden, Arbeiterwohnungen, Kindergärten und einer Erholungssiedlung heran. 1907 hatte die Fabrik ihre größte Ausdehnung erreicht. Auf rund 100.000 m² wurde mit 240.000 Spindeln Baumwolle verarbeitet. Bis zu 4.000 Menschen arbeiteten hier bis 1989 im Drei-Schicht-Betrieb, bis die Produktion nach der deutschen Wiedervereinigung eingestellt wurde.
