Der Obereider-See ist eine Ausbuchtung an der südlichen Seite der Obereider und liegt ca. in der Mitte zwischen Nord-Ostsee-Kanal und dem Stadthafen Rendsburg, direkt hinter der sog. Obereider-Enge aus Richtung NOK. In der Bucht liegen einige kleine, teilweise private, Yachthäfen.
