Alsenborn ist mit rund 2750 Einwohnern der kleinere Ortsteil der im rheinland-pfälzischen Landkreis Kaiserslautern gelegenen Ortsgemeinde Enkenbach-Alsenborn. Bis 1969 war Alsenborn eine selbständige Gemeinde, ehe sie im Zuge der rheinland-pfälzischen Verwaltungsreform der neu gebildeten Gemeinde zugeschlagen wurde. Überregionale Bekanntheit erlangte Alsenborn für seine Zirkustruppen, den Fußballverein SV Alsenborn, der in den 1960er Jahren um den Aufstieg in die Bundesliga mitspielte, und als Wohnort des Fußballspielers Fritz Walter, der 1954 als Kapitän der deutschen Nationalmannschaft Weltmeister wurde.
