Heringhausen ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Diemelsee im nordhessischen Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg und ein anerkannter Luftkurort.
Heringhausen liegt zwischen Dortmund und Kassel südlich von Paderborn, ungefähr in der Mitte eines Dreiecks mit den Eckpunkten Korbach, Brilon und Marsberg im Naturpark Diemelsee. Alle Siedlungsbereiche von Heringhausen liegen am Ufer des Diemelstausees. Durch den Ort verläuft die Landesstraße 3078.
