Aalborg oder Ålborg ist eine dänische Großstadt mit Seehafen und Verwaltungssitz der Region Nordjylland.
Aalborg liegt am Limfjord, der dort flussartig verengt über eine Entfernung von etwa 35 Kilometer die Verbindung zur Ostsee herstellt. Über den Limfjord führen eine Eisenbahnbrücke von 1879 und die Limfjordsbroen für den Autoverkehr; beide wurden als Klappbrücken ausgeführt, um die Durchfahrt größerer Schiffe zu ermöglichen. Die Autobahn wird durch den Limfjordtunnel geführt.
