Torrevieja ist eine Stadt im Südosten Spaniens an der Costa Blanca. Am 1. Januar 2019 waren 83.337 Einwohner registriert.
Torrevieja gehört zur Comarca Vega Baja del Segura der Provinz Alicante in der Valencianischen Gemeinschaft. Torrevieja befindet sich im spanischen Sprachgebiet. Obwohl Torrevieja außerhalb des traditionellen valencianisch-katalanischen Sprachgebiets liegt, wurde der Stadt Zweisprachigkeit verordnet, um als südlichste Sprachinsel touristisch herauszuragen .
