Torrevella , antigament coneguda com a Torrevella de la Mata, és un municipi del País Valencià situat a la zona costanera del Baix Segura , a l'extrem sud del País Valencià.
Les activitats econòmiques principals són el turisme, l'extracció de sal i la pesca. Està situat en un paratge d'alt valor paisatgístic i ecològic a la vora del Mediterrani i al costat de les llacunes de la Mata i Torrevella. Amb 105.205 habitants és la cinquena ciutat valenciana en nombre d'habitants i la tercera de la província d'Alacant, només superada per Alacant i Elx.
