Der Flughafen Sabadell liegt drei Kilometer südlich des Stadtzentrums von Sabadell und 17 Kilometer nördlich des Stadtzentrums von Barcelona. Die Autopista C-58 verläuft westlich des Flughafens. Der Flughafen wird durch die Buslinie L11 mit dem Stadtzentrum von Sabadell verbunden.
Der Flughafen in Sabadell wurde am 1. August 1934 als Militärflugplatz der Republik Spanien mit ziviler Mitbenutzung eröffnet.
