Die Plaza Mayor José González de Bornos befindet sich im Zentrum der Stadt.
Eine Statue auf einem hohen Sockel ist das Herzstück dieses wunderschönen Stadtraums. Der zentrale Bereich ist Fußgängerzone und hat drei Hauptfronten mit Eisenbänken und Palmen und Orangenbäumen.
Dieser Platz, gesäumt von zweistöckigen Gebäuden, einige mit interessanten architektonischen Elementen (Türen, Balkone...), beherbergt einige der emblematischsten und wichtigsten Denkmäler der Stadt , wie den Burgpalast der Familie Ribera, die Gemeinde Kirche Sant Domingo und das Rathaus selbst. Eine breite Treppe mit fünf Stufen und seitlichen Rampen verbindet das Innere des Gebäudes mit der Ebene des Platzes.
