Im Laufe der Zeit erhielt dieses Gebäude den Namen Hospital de San Juan de Dios , obwohl es eigentlich Kirche San Juan de Dios heißen sollte , da seine historische Funktion darin bestand, als Nebenkapelle des Mercy Hospital zu dienen.
Es hat einen griechischen Kreuzplan innerhalb eines Quadrats. Sie hat drei Schiffe mit Kreuzgewölben und einen Chor mit Kuppel. Es gehört zum Barockstil, obwohl die Fassaden neoklassizistisch sind.
Der Turm befindet sich an der Ecke der Insel, mit ionischen Pilastern und italienischem Marmor und einer bauchigen Spitze, die 1768 von Torcuato Cayón hergestellt wurde.
Die Hauptmerkmale des Innenraums sind die Altarbilder aus dem 18. Jahrhundert , die mit goldener Rocaille und italienischem Marmor verziert sind, wie die von Sant Rafael, Sant Joan de Déu und Sant Josep , alle von Torcuato Benjumeda.
