Mülhausen ist eine Stadt im Elsass in der Region Grand Est im Osten Frankreichs. Sie ist Sitz der Unterpräfektur des Arrondissements Mulhouse im Département Haut-Rhin. Die Stadt ist Teil der Trinationalen Metropolregion Oberrhein.
Mit 108.312 Einwohnern und 278.206 Einwohnern im Großraum ist Mülhausen die größte Stadt des Départements. Seit dem 17. Februar 2014 ist die Stadt Mülhausen im Sinne der Europäischen Charta der Regional- oder Minderheitensprachen zweisprachig.
