Fourmies ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 11.563 Einwohnern im Département Nord in der Region Hauts-de-France. Die Einwohner der Gemeinde werden Fourmisiens genannt. Sie gehört zum Kanton Fourmies im Arrondissement Avesnes-sur-Helpe.Die Gemeinde liegt in der Thiérache, rund 100 Kilometer von Lille und 175 Kilometer von Paris entfernt. In der Umgebung von Fourmies befinden sich Wälder und Teiche. Die Stadt wird vom Fluss Helpe Mineure durchquert.
