Umgeben wird Tortezais von den Nachbargemeinden Cosne-d’Allier im Nordwesten und Norden, Vieure im Norden, Buxières-les-Mines im Osten, Murat im Osten und Südosten, Villefranche-d’Allier im Süden und Südwesten sowie Sauvagny im Westen.
