Heiteren ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 1036 Einwohnern im Département Haut-Rhin in der Region Grand Est . Sie gehört zum Kanton Ensisheim und zur Communauté de communes Pays Rhin-Brisach.
Die Gemeinde Heiteren liegt in der Oberrheinebene, etwa 20 Kilometer südöstlich von Colmar und sieben Kilometer südwestlich von Breisach am Rhein. Das Gemeindegebiet reicht im Westen bis zum alten Nordarm des Rhein-Rhône-Kanals und im Osten auf wenige hundert Meter an den parallel zum Rhein verlaufenden Rheinseitenkanal. Zu Heiteren gehört der Ortsteil Thierhurst an der Grenze zur südlichen Nachbargemeinde Nambsheim.
