Umgeben wird Sury-ès-Bois von den Nachbargemeinden Pierrefitte-ès-Bois im Norden, Santranges im Nordosten, Savigny-en-Sancerre im Osten, Assigny im Südosten, Jars im Süden, Thou im Südwesten sowie Vailly-sur-Sauldre im Westen.
