Miribel ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 10.122 Einwohnern im Département Ain in der Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Administrativ gehört sie zum Arrondissement Bourg-en-Bresse. Sie ist überdies Mitglied des Communauté de communes de Miribel et du Plateau. Die Einwohner heißen Miribelans.Miribel liegt in der Landschaft Côtière südlich der Dombes, etwa 14 Kilometer nordöstlich von Lyon. Der Ort liegt unmittelbar am Canal de Miribel. Umgeben wird Miribel von den Nachbargemeinden Mionnay im Norden, Tramoyes im Nordosten, Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost im Osten, Meyzieu im Südosten, Décines-Charpieu im Süden, Vaulx-en-Velin im Südwesten, Neyron im Westen sowie Rillieux-la-Pape und Cailloux-sur-Fontaines im Nordwesten.
