Châtenois ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 1.702 Einwohnern im Département Vosges in der Region Grand Est . Sie gehört zum Arrondissement Neufchâteau und zum Kanton Mirecourt . Die Einwohner werden Castiniens genannt.Châtenois liegt etwa 50 Kilometer südsüdwestlich von Nancy. Durch das Gemeindegebiet fließt der Vair. Umgeben wird Châtenois von den Nachbargemeinden Courcelles-sous-Châtenois und Balléville im Norden, Viocourt im Nordosten, Houécourt im Osten, La Neuveville-sous-Châtenois im Südosten, Longchamp-sous-Châtenois und Darney-aux-Chênes im Süden, Rouvres-la-Chétive im Westen und Südwesten sowie Vouxey und Dolaincourt im Nordwesten.
