Das Museum befindet sich im Herzen der Perlmuttstadt Meru und ist in einer Fabrik aus dem 19. Jahrhundert untergebracht. Es bewahrt und präsentiert das lokale Handwerk. Die Berufe des Knopfmachers und des Tischlers, die eine jahrhundertealte Tradition in der Verarbeitung von Perlmutt und Halbedelsteinen haben, werden Ihnen von unseren Fremdenführern vorgeführt. In einer originalgetreu nachgebauten Knopfmacherwerkstatt, die von einer Dampfmaschine angetrieben wird, lernen Sie die Herstellung eines Perlmuttknopfes kennen. Bestaunen Sie wunderschöne Sammlerstücke wie Fächer und Tafelwaren, die in spielerischen Entdeckermöbeln präsentiert werden. Führungen und Vorführungen um 15:00 und 16:15 Uhr.
