Air-India-Flug-101 war ein planmäßiger internationaler Flug von Bombay nach New York mit Zwischenstopps in Delhi, Beirut, Genf und London-Heathrow. Das Flugzeug vom Typ Boeing 707 verunglückte am 24. Januar 1966 am Montblanc-Massiv.
Das Flugzeug mit dem Namen Kanchenjunga war 1961 in Dienst gestellt worden und hatte 16.188 Flugstunden ohne wesentliche Vorkommnisse hinter sich gebracht. Der Flug bis nach Beirut war ohne besondere Ereignisse verlaufen. Während des Fluges fiel allerdings einer der beiden Drehfunkfeuer -Empfänger zur Positionsbestimmung aus.
