Das Herz des Bassin d'Arcachon: Lanton, Audenge, Biganos, Marcheprime und Mios mit ihren sechs Häfen, die durch den Küstenpfad miteinander verbunden sind und die sich im Wechsel der Gezeiten und Jahreszeiten entdecken lassen.
Als Meeresfassade des Regionalen Naturparks Landes de Gascogne, in den das rostfarbene Wasser der Leyre fließt, nachdem es das Plateau der Landes durchquert hat, ist es ein Gebiet mit "Natur"-Standorten, in dem sich Landschaften mit Salzwiesen und Wäldern vermischen. Es ist auch ein Land der maritimen Traditionen, die sich um Fischerei, Austernzucht und Schifffahrt ranken.
