Es ist heute in der Form, die man ihm im 19. Jahrhundert gab, aber es ist viel älter, es scheint aus dem 15. Jahrhundert stammen. Früher hatte er ein Spitzdach mit Oberlichtern, durch die die Tauben eindringen konnten. Der Taubenschlag besteht aus zwei Ebenen mit zahlreichen Boulins (Nistkästen für Tauben), die aus Terrakotta gefertigt sind.
