Die Domaine Agroécologique de Barolle - Conservatoire Végétal ist eine Vereinigung nach dem Gesetz von 1901, die sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, das genetische Erbe der Pflanzen, insbesondere des Obstanbaus, in Nouvelle Aquitaine zu erhalten und zu verbreiten. Ihre wichtigsten Aktivitäten sind:
- Die Erhaltung, Charakterisierung, Bewertung, Valorisierung, Vermarktung und Verbreitung des spezifischen und genetischen Erbes der Kulturpflanzen in Neu-Aquitanien zu gewährleisten
- Die Reproduktion und Weitergabe dieses Erbes durch die Organisation seiner Verbreitung an Fachleute und Privatpersonen zu gewährleisten
- Entwicklung und Förderung bewährter Verfahren zum Schutz, zur Wiederherstellung und zur Aufwertung der biologischen Vielfalt der Kulturpflanzen
- Unterstützung für alle Forschungsarbeiten anzubieten, die darauf abzielen, im bestehenden Pflanzenbestand die Elemente zu identifizieren
