Il Domaine Agroécologique de Barolle - Conservatoire Végétal è un'associazione di diritto del 1901, il cui scopo è la salvaguardia e la diffusione del patrimonio genetico delle piante, in particolare degli alberi da frutto, della Nuova Aquitania. Le sue attività principali sono
- Assicurare la conservazione, la caratterizzazione, la valutazione, lo sviluppo, la commercializzazione e la diffusione del patrimonio genetico specifico delle piante coltivate in Nuova Aquitania
- Assicurare la riproduzione e la trasmissione di questo patrimonio, organizzandone la distribuzione ai professionisti e ai privati
- Sviluppare e promuovere le migliori pratiche di protezione, restauro e valorizzazione della biodiversità coltivata
- Offrire il proprio sostegno a tutte le ricerche volte a individuare nel patrimonio vegetale esistente gli elementi che favoriscono un adattamento sostenibile
