Das megalithische Monument steht auf einem bewaldeten Grundstück in der Ortschaft Barbehère. Der Dolmen wurde vor etwa 5000 Jahren, in der Jungsteinzeit oder dem Zeitalter der polierten Steine, errichtet. Das Monument wurde auf einem Kalksteinsockel errichtet und erscheint wie ein Dolmen, der von einem Grabhügel umgeben ist. Der Grundriss lässt eine Grabkammer und einen Zugangsbereich erkennen. Der Dolmen stellte eine wichtige kollektive Grabstätte dar.
