Die 1886 für den Turnverein erbaute Turnhalle wurde bald zum "Salle des Fêtes" (Festsaal) und zum Ort verschiedener Versammlungen.
Während des Ersten Weltkriegs wurde das Gebäude in ein Feldlazarett umgewandelt, wobei die Fassade renoviert wurde und die beiden zinnenbewehrten Türme verloren gingen. Seit mehreren Jahrzehnten bietet der "Salle des Fêtes" seinen Rahmen für verschiedene Veranstaltungen im Leben der Forbacher.
