Construite en 1886 pour accueillir la société de gymnastique, la « Turnhalle » devint rapidement la « Salle des Fêtes » et le lieu de réunions diverses.
Durant la Première Guerre mondial, le bâtiment transformé en hôpital militaire de campagne connaît la rénovation de sa façade avec la perte de ses deux tours crénelées. Depuis plusieurs décennies, la « Salle des Fêtes » prête son cadre à différentes manifestations de la vie des Forbachois.
