Die Burg liegt auf dem Jakobsweg zwischen Bergerac und Sainte-Foy la Grande. Jahrhundert zu einer Festung, bevor sie nach dem Mittelalter in ein Wohnhaus umgewandelt wurde. Bemerkenswerter Taubenschlag, der im 16. Jahrhundert errichtet wurde.
Ursprünglich ein Wachturm aus dem 12. Jahrhundert, der von Duras abhängig war. Er wurde im 14. Jahrhundert zu einer Festung ausgebaut.
Während des Hundertjährigen Krieges belagerte der Connétable DU GUESCLIN den Ort fünf Tage lang.
Im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert wurde es zu einem Wohnsitz umgebaut und ein bemerkenswerter Taubenschlag errichtet.
