Castello situato sul cammino di Santiago de Compostela tra Bergerac e Sainte-Foy la Grande. Da torre di avvistamento nel XII secolo, divenne una roccaforte nel XIV secolo prima di essere trasformata in abitazione dopo il Medioevo. Notevole colombaia costruita nel XVI secolo.
Originariamente una torre di guardia del XII secolo dipendente da Duras. Nel XIV secolo fu rafforzata e divenne una roccaforte.
Durante la Guerra dei Cento Anni il Conestabile DU GUESCLIN lo assediò per 5 giorni.
Nel XVII e XVIII secolo fu trasformato in residenza e fu costruita una notevole colombaia.
