Die Île de Raymond, die aus einem toten Arm der Garonne entlang der Gemeinden Rions, Paillet und Lestiac besteht, ist das letzte alluviale Feuchtgebiet der Gironde. Die renaturierte und für die Öffentlichkeit zugängliche Insel ist ein wichtiges didaktisches Instrument, das es jedem ermöglicht, wieder mit der Garonne und der Natur in Kontakt zu treten. Das ganze Jahr über werden zahlreiche Besichtigungen organisiert.
