Der Brunnen Saint-Jean befindet sich in der Nähe des alten Bahnhofs von Lamothe am Ufer des Flusses Eyre. Da er auf einem Jakobsweg liegt, muss man einen Bach (in der Landessprache "craste" genannt) überqueren, der entlang der Bahnlinie verläuft, um zu ihm zu gelangen. Dieses heute restaurierte und erhaltene Gebäude hatte den Zahn der Zeit zu spüren bekommen. Auf dem Brunnen steht ein kleines Gebäude mit einer Nische, auf der man die Jahreszahlen 1645 und 1650 entziffern kann. Diese nun leere Nische beherbergte bis 1772 die Statue des Heiligen Johannes, des Schutzpatrons von Lamothe. Als Quelle von Wundern und Heilungen fand man dort oft Tücher, die von den Kranken abgelegt wurden, ein in den Landes recht verbreiteter Aberglaube.
