La fontana di Saint-Jean si trova vicino alla vecchia stazione di Lamothe, sulla riva del fiume Eyre. Situato sul percorso per Santiago de Compostela, per raggiungerlo bisogna attraversare un torrente (chiamato "craste" nella lingua del paese) che costeggia la linea ferroviaria. Questo edificio, oggi restaurato e conservato, ha subito le ingiurie del tempo. La fontana è sormontata da un piccolo edificio con una nicchia su cui si possono decifrare le date 1645 e 1650. Questa nicchia, oggi vuota, ha ospitato fino al 1772 la statua di Saint-Jean, patrono di Lamothe. Fonte di miracoli e guarigioni, veniva spesso utilizzata per contenere i panni lasciati dai malati, una superstizione piuttosto diffusa nelle Lande.
