Das Maison des Ailleurs, das vom französischen Kulturministerium als Maison des Illustres ausgezeichnet wurde, ist die Fortsetzung des Besuchs des Museums Arthur Rimbaud.1869 zog Vitalie Rimbaud mit ihren Kindern in dieses Haus, das damals aus drei Wohnungen bestand. Der junge Arthur lebte von seinem 15. bis zu seinem 21. Lebensjahr in diesen Mauern, in einer Zeit intensiven dichterischen Schaffens. Hier entstanden wahrscheinlich einige der weltberühmten Gedichte.
