Seit über 20 Jahren gibt es in Bordeaux ein Geschäft, das sich als Referenz für den Verkauf von Spitzenweinen aus der Region an Privatpersonen etabliert hat: L'INTENDANT, 1989 von DUCLOT gegründet. Das Geschäft befindet sich im Herzen von Bordeaux, gegenüber dem Grand Théâtre. Hinter der Fassade eines kleinen Stadthauses aus dem 18. Jahrhundert wurde ein 12 Meter hoher runder Turm errichtet, der sich über vier Stockwerke erstreckt. Die 1200 Eichenfächer, die die Struktur des Turms bilden, enthalten mehr als 15.000 Flaschen und bilden eine "Bibliothek", die dem Wein aus Bordeaux gewidmet ist.
