Dieser moderne Brunnen erinnert an die gallo-römischen Überreste, die 1993 bei den Ausgrabungen der antiken Thermen Niederbronnois entdeckt wurden. Zwei halbe Säulenschäfte aus Sandstein, die derzeit im Maison de l'Archéologie ausgestellt sind, wurden tatsächlich bei dieser Baustelle entdeckt und stammten wahrscheinlich von der Nordfassade des Kaltwasserbeckens. Jahrhundert für die Rekonstruktion des Merkur-Tempels in der Nähe der Wasenbourg verwendet wurden.
