Das Observatorium Chênes-Brûlés ist eine Einrichtung der Maginot-Linie, mit der das Feuer der Artilleriegeschütze der benachbarten Festungen gelenkt werden kann. Es ist dem Werk Mont-des-Weiches gewidmet. Der Block verfügt über zwei Etagen, von denen eine der Beobachtung und Kommunikation und die zweite dem Leben der Soldaten gewidmet ist.
Die Association de Préservation de l'Observatoire des Chênes Brûlés kümmert sich darum, die Anlage wieder in Stand zu setzen.
