Hotel Spa Le Calendal

Right in the heart of the historic center of Arles. Ideally located between the arena and the ancient theater, Hôtel Spa le Calendal features 38 rooms with views over the garden or old Arles, some of which overlook the monuments. The hotel's famous garden, with its three-hundred-year-old hackberry tree, is a veritable green setting for breakfast or a sweet or savoury break from the Calendal counter: salads, sandwiches with organic bread, gratins, soups and pastries are available for guests, and 24 hours a day for hotel guests. Its contemporary spa perpetuates an ancient tradition of relaxation and beauty, with a jacuzzi facing the arena. Photography is part of its history: now it's part of its identity. 40 original photographic works by young artists are on permanent display in the hotel's rooms. The works were produced on 4 themes: literature, architecture, cinema and painting. The École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie provided artistic and technical direction for the project.
