Der Woodhead-Stausee ist ein künstlicher See in der Nähe des Weilers Woodhead in Longdendale im nördlichen Derbyshire. Er wurde zwischen 1847 und Juni 1877 von John Frederick Bateman als Teil der Longdendale-Kette gebaut, um Wasser aus dem Fluss Etherow an die städtischen Gebiete von Greater Manchester zu liefern. Er befindet sich an der Spitze der Kette von Stauseen und war der erste, der begonnen wurde; aufgrund von Bauproblemen war er jedoch der letzte, der fertiggestellt wurde.
