El embalse de Woodhead es un lago artificial cerca del caserío de Woodhead en Longdendale, en el norte de Derbyshire. Fue construido por John Frederick Bateman entre 1847 y junio de 1877 como parte de la cadena de Longdendale para abastecer de agua desde el río Etherow a las áreas urbanas de Greater Manchester. Está en la parte superior de la cadena de embalses y fue el primero en iniciarse, aunque, debido a problemas de construcción, fue el último en completarse.
