Great Shelford ist ein Dorf, das etwa 4 Meilen südlich von Cambridge im Landkreis Cambridgeshire im östlichen England liegt. Im Jahr 1850 umfasste die Gemeinde Great Shelford 1.900 Acres, die vom Fluss Cam durchzogen wurden. Die Bevölkerung betrug 1841 803 Menschen. Bis 2001 war diese Zahl auf 3.949 gewachsen und 2011 bei der Volkszählung auf 4.233. Es wurde
als das zweitreichste Dorf Britanniens im Jahr 2011 beschrieben.
Great Shelford ist mit Verneuil-en-Halatte im Département Oise in Frankreich partnerschaftlich verbunden. Reisen nach Verneuil-en-Halatte werden von der Shelford Twinning Association organisiert.
