Monkton ist ein Dorf und eine Bürgergemeinde im Bezirk Thanet in Kent, England. Das Dorf liegt am südwestlichen Rand der Isle of Thanet und erstreckt sich hauptsächlich entlang der Straße B2047, die von der Straße A263 zwischen Canterbury und Ramsgate abzweigt. Die Bürgergemeinde reicht im Süden bis zum Fluss Stour und im Norden in Richtung Acol. Der Weiler Gore Street ist in die Gemeinde einbezogen.
Monkton war im Jahr 2007 von einer Explosion betroffen und wurde infolgedessen größtenteils evakuiert. Die Feuerwehr und Rettungsdienst berichteten, dass die Einsatzkräfte mit "einem gut entwickelten Brand in einem großen einstöckigen Gebäude" konfrontiert waren, das zu den größten im Dorf gehörte.
