Monkton is een dorp en burgerlijke parochie in het Thanet District van Kent, Engeland. Het dorp ligt aan de zuidwestelijke rand van het eiland Thanet en bevindt zich voornamelijk langs de B2047-weg, die van de A263-weg afkomt tussen Canterbury en Ramsgate. De burgerlijke parochie strekt zich naar het zuiden uit naar de rivier Stour en naar het noorden richting Acol. Het gehucht Gore Street is opgenomen in de parochie.
Monkton werd in 2007 getroffen door een explosie en werd als gevolg daarvan voor het grootste deel ontruimd. De brandweer en reddingsdienst meldde dat de ploegen werden geconfronteerd met "een goed ontwikkelde brand in een groot eenlaag gebouw", dat tot de grootste in het dorp behoorde.
