Die RAF Bomber Command beschlagnahmte während des Zweiten Weltkriegs landwirtschaftliche Flächen für einen Flugplatz. Das Land ist nun wieder der Landwirtschaft, dem Schulspielplatz und dem Sportgelände des Dorfes zugekommen.
