Die Cheddar Gorge liegt in der Nähe des Dorfes Cheddar in den Mendip Hills in Somerset in England. Es ist die größte Felsschlucht im Vereinigten Königreich, die zahlreiche Höhlen beherbergt. In der Gough’s Cave wurde 1903 das älteste vollständige menschliche Skelett Britanniens, der etwa 9000 Jahre alte „Cheddar Man“ gefunden. Überreste aus dem Jungpaläolithikum vor 13.000 bis 12.000 Jahren stammen ebenfalls von hier.
