Peveril Castle ist eine Burgruine aus dem Mittelalter über dem Dorf Castleton in der englischen Grafschaft Derbyshire. Die Burg war der Sitz des Honour of Peverel und wurde irgendwann zwischen der normannischen Eroberung Englands 1066 und der ersten urkundlichen Erwähnung im Domesday Book von 1086 für William Peverel, der als Lehensmann des Königs Ländereien in Nottinghamshire und Derbyshire besaß, gebaut. Der nahegelegene Ort Castleton profitierte von der Burg, die als Sitz des Adels von Peak fungierte. Das Dorf wurde ein wirtschaftliches Zentrum des Gebietes Von der heutigen Ruine aus kann man das Hope-Tal und das Cave Dale überblicken.
