El Castillo de Peveril [1] es un castillo en ruinas del siglo XI que domina el pueblo de Castleton en el condado inglés de Derbyshire. Fue el asentamiento principal de la baronía feudal de William Peverel, conocido como el «Honor de Peverel»,[2] y se fundó en algún momento entre la conquista normanda de Inglaterra de 1066 y su primera mención estuvo impresa en el Libro Domesday de 1086 por Peverel, que tenía tierras en Nottinghamshire y Derbyshire como la tenencia feudal del rey. Lugares como Hope Valley y Cave Dale son visibles desde el edificio.
