Der Lockerbie-Anschlag war ein Bombenanschlag auf ein Verkehrsflugzeug vom Typ Boeing 747-121 der US-amerikanischen Fluglinie Pan American World Airways am 21. Dezember 1988.
Laut Urteil schottischer Strafgerichte war der Anschlag ein staatsterroristischer Akt libyscher Geheimdienstler. Das Flugzeug wurde auf einer Flughöhe von 31.000 Fuß über der Ortschaft Lockerbie der schottischen Verwaltungseinheit Dumfries and Galloway nach der Explosion von 340 bis 450 g Plastiksprengstoff zerstört. Bei dem Anschlag kamen alle 259 Insassen der Maschine sowie am Boden elf Bewohner Lockerbies ums Leben. Die Tat wurde größtenteils als ein Anschlag auf ein Symbol der USA gesehen; mit 189 toten US-Amerikanern galt er bis zu den Terroranschlägen vom 11. September 2001 als verlustreichster Anschlag gegen Zivilisten aus den Vereinigten Staaten.
